Free. iPhone and iPad.

The Classics list in Stirred Art, each cocktail with its flavour tags

Most cocktail apps are recipe books

Stirred Art is taste-driven. It asks you a few questions and builds your flavour vector: 11 dimensions of a taste profile, from sweet and sour to umami and salty. That profile makes the search for new drinks easier both at home and at bars.

What it does with your taste

  • Snap a picture of a drink or a menu to get it compared to your taste preferences and allergies, fully on-device and offline.
  • Keep track of your home bar and spirits collection, and see what they can make tonight.
  • Remember profiles of your guests, their allergies and taste preferences.
  • Export all your bar visits from Apple Photos in one tap and match them to cocktail recipes.
  • Keep track of bars and bartenders you visit, share them with friends and discover hidden spots.

Nothing leaves your phone

The taste model runs on your device. Your drinking history stays there. There is no account to create and the app doesn't need internet access.

Questions

Is there a Vivino for cocktails?

Stirred Art is the closest thing. Vivino learns which wines you like; Stirred Art asks you a few questions, builds a flavour profile in 11 dimensions and scores cocktails, bar menus and bottles against it.

Does it learn from what I drink, the way Vivino does with wine?

Yes. You rate the drinks you have, at a bar or at home, and every rating refines your taste profile. The app then tells you how any other cocktail compares to it.

Does it help at a bar, or only at home?

Both. Photograph a bar menu and every drink on it comes back scored against your taste. At home, add your bottles and see what you can make tonight.
